Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid worth £67m for Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns his attention towards bolstering the squad's midfield options.
The club has already secured the signatures of winger Daniel James and full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.
Solskjaer is now targeting new additions in midfield following the departures of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera this year.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United will launch a bid of £67m for Milinkovic-Savic, but it is claimed that Lazio are holding out for a sum of £107m for a player they deem indispensable.
United were strongly linked with the Serbia international last summer but ultimately opted for the cheaper option of Fred, who moved to Old Trafford for £52m.
The Premier League club has also reportedly expressed interest in Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes and Newcastle United's Sean Longstaff in this window.
