Manchester United are reportedly ready to move for Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech in the latter stages of the transfer window.
The 29-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from Ajax in July 2020, and he has represented the London club on 83 occasions in all competitions, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists in the process.
Ziyech featured made 44 appearances for Thomas Tuchel's side last season, scoring eight times and providing six assists, but he has been an unused substitute in the team's opening two Premier League matches at the start of the 2022-23 campaign.
Man United boss Erik ten Hag is believed to be keen to bring the Morocco international to Old Trafford, having worked with him at Ajax between 2017 and 2020.
A recent report claimed that Ten Hag was finding it difficult to convince the Man United board that the attacker would be the right signing during the summer market.
However, according to journalist Nabil Djellit, the club's hierarchy are now 'more attentive' to the situation and are willing to sign him, providing that Chelsea are prepared to accept a cut-price offer.
Djellit claims that Ten Hag views Ziyech as a 'priority', with the Dutchman determined to improve his attack before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Moroccan has won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time at Chelsea, while he still has another three years left to run on his current contract.
"The Ziyech move to AC Milan has stuttered a little and if that situation drags on let's not rule out the idea that Ten Hag looks to take him to United instead," transfer insider Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT last month.
Milan are still believed to be in the running for the attacker, but he could also now allegedly be offered the opportunity to remain in the Premier League.
Man United have started their 2022-23 Premier League campaign with back-to-back defeats to Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion, which has left them bottom of the table.
The 20-time English champions have allegedly dropped their interest in Adrien Rabiot due to the Juventus midfielder's high wage demands.
Real Madrid's Casemiro is believed to be viewed as a midfield alternative, with the Red Devils potentially cooling their interest in Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong.
Man United are also believed to be determined to bring a new centre-forward to Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window, with Cristiano Ronaldo potentially being allowed to depart.
Ten Hag's side will be looking to bounce back from the successive defeats to Brighton and Brentford when they welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford in the Premier League on August 22.
