Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is poised to make a move for Real Madrid defender Pepe, according to reports.
The 32-year-old is thought to be falling down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu, following the emergence of 21-year-old French international Raphael Varane.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could be willing to offload Pepe to make way for Varane, reports The Express, with Old Trafford the most likely destination for the Portuguese international.
Pepe joined Real Madrid from Porto in 2007, and was part of the squad that won the Champions League last season.
