Manchester United are reportedly working on a deal for Amad Traore in the hope of signing the Atalanta BC attacker before Monday's transfer deadline.
The 18-year-old made his Serie A debut last October and ended the 2019-20 campaign with one goal in three league appearances for La Dea.
Traore is yet to feature for his Italian club during the 2020-21 season, although he has been on the bench for their league matches with Torino and Lazio.
Last month it was reported that United were keen on a deal for the teenager, who was however not being viewed as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.
According to the Manchester Evening News, 'talks are progressing' when it comes to Traore, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are hoping to finalise a move before the end of the transfer window.
The report, though, claims that the proposed agreement for the attacker, who has recently been linked with a loan move to Parma, is 'not straightforward'.
United are also said to be working on a deal for Porto's Alex Telles, while Sancho continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford despite Dortmund insisting that the England international will not be on the move.
