Manchester United have revealed that Marc Jurado has left the club to join Espanyol on a permanent deal.
The 19-year-old arrived at Old Trafford from Barcelona in 2020, but he failed to make a first-team appearance for the English club, spending his time with the Under-18s and Under-23s.
Jurado did feature for Man United during pre-season, appearing against Wrexham in the United States, but his time with the 20-time English champions has now come to a close.
According to the Manchester Evening News, there is a 'generous sell-on clause' in the deal which could earn Man United 'millions in the future'.
"Dear Manchester United fans, it is not easy to say goodbye to what has been my house for the last 3 years but the time is perfect to start a new chapter in my career," Jurado posted on his official Instagram account.
"I have had the opportunity to play with some unbelievable teammates, that I will now call friends and worked with fantastic coaches that helped me along the process.
"There are too many people who works in the club to thank, they made my job easier. I'll always support this football club. Once a red, always a red."
Espanyol were relegated from La Liga last season, with the Catalan side therefore currently playing in the second tier of Spanish football. body check tags ::
