Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has reportedly made it clear that he wants to join Barcelona ahead of Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.
Both United and Barca were linked with moves for the Argentina international last month, but Inter were not prepared to sell the centre-forward in the middle of the campaign.
According to ESPN, the Red Devils plan to re-ignite their interest this summer but are expected to lose out to Barca as Martinez is desperate to play alongside his international teammate Lionel Messi.
The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for Antonio Conte's side during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 16 times in 27 appearances in all competitions.
United will allegedly move for a new striker this summer despite signing Odion Ighalo on loan from Shanghai Shenhua last month, while Barca are looking for a long-term Luis Suarez replacement.
Martinez is thought to have a €111m (£94m) release clause inserted into his current deal.
