The father of Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, Juan Mata Senior, has reportedly met with Barcelona to discuss a potential move for the Spaniard at the end of the campaign.
Mata's current deal with the Red Devils will expire this summer, and his father - who is also his agent - recently revealed that the 30-year-old had not made a decision on his future.
According to Cadena SER, a meeting between the Mata camp and Barca has taken place, with the Spaniard potentially moving to Camp Nou on a free transfer this summer.
The attacker has made over 200 appearances for United in all competitions, winning one FA Cup, one EFL Cup and one Europa League during his time at the club.
Mata has plenty of La Liga experience, meanwhile, having turned out on 129 occasions in Spain's top flight for Valencia between 2007 and 2011 ahead of a switch to Chelsea.
