James McCarthy has refused to dismiss speculation that has linked him with a move to Manchester United.
The Republic of Ireland international was regarded to be one of Everton's better players as Roberto Martinez's men finished fifth in the Premier League last term.
That form is said to have alerted United as well as Tottenham Hotspur and when asked by the London Evening Standard about the rumours, the 23-year-old replied: "If a club like Manchester United are interested, obviously you are doing a good job. We will see what happens."
Everton paid Wigan Athletic £13m for McCarthy's services last summer.
