Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has admitted that he is "pleased" to have attracted interest from Manchester United.
The 23-year-old was watched up close by United boss Jose Mourinho during Serbia's 2-0 win over neighbours Montenegro earlier this week.
Milinkovic-Savic is understood to be a long-term target for Mourinho, but the attacking midfielder only recently signed a new deal with Lazio and is unsure whether he is still on the Red Devils' radar.
"I am a Lazio player but it's obvious that I was pleased that a coach of his stature came to watch the match," he is quoted as saying by The Sun.
"I read a little bit everywhere he was here at the stadium to see me play but that doesn't mean anything. Maybe he was not here for me, but for someone else."
Mourinho is also rumoured to been keeping tabs on Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic, who played the full 90 minutes of Serbia's win against Montenegro.
