The representatives of Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata have suggested that they will try to push through a move to Manchester United.
United have been heavily linked with the Spanish international since the end of last season and it appeared only a matter of time before he completed a switch to Old Trafford.
However, on Thursday, reports began to emerge that United had instead decided to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, with it being claimed that a £75m deal had already been agreed.
Despite that development, it appears that Morata's camp remain intent on a transfer to Jose Mourinho's side and Marca has quoted his representatives as saying that there is "no alternative" in place.
Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, but it appears that they too had been expecting Morata to sign a deal with United.
The Blues could potentially re-enter the bidding process for either Lukaku or Morata, but it has been claimed that they also have other targets in mind.
