Roma manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly instructed the Italian giants to earmark Diogo Dalot as the club's number one transfer target.

The 22-year-old is starting to enjoy more game time at Manchester United, playing the full 90 minutes in victories over Arsenal and Crystal Palace.

Dalot continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, though, with his existing deal at Ralf Rangnick's side due to expire in 2023.

Mourinho is thought to be desperate to reunite with the right-back, and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Roma boss has told technical director Tiago Pinto to make him a priority target.

However, Dalot has always thought to have wanted to fight for his place at Man United, despite impressing during a previous loan spell in Serie A with AC Milan.

The Portugal international boasts one goal and three assists in 44 appearances for the Red Devils since being signed by Mourinho in the summer of 2018. body check tags ::
