Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has refused to comment on speculation that the club has made a world-record offer to secure the transfer of Paul Pogba.
The 23-year-old left Old Trafford for Juventus for less than £1m just four years ago but is now the subject of a £100m offer to return to the North-West side.
"I don't confirm and I don't deny," Mourinho told reporters at a press conference this morning. "I cannot tell you.
"I don't think it is correct to speak about players of other clubs. My directors did a fantastic work to do 75% of the job I ask them to do. I gave them a few options. We have just 25% to do until August 31.
"We are in great conditions to have a great market. We are calm. We have three faces to fill the profile. I am confident Mr Woodward will get the player we need to get a good balance."
Juventus and United are expected to finalise the deal, which includes a further £8m in performance-related bonuses, within the coming days.
