Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has all but confirmed that he is interested in signing Radamel Falcao this summer.
The Colombian has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge ever since it became clear that Manchester United would not pick up the option of signing him on a permanent basis.
The Monaco forward spent last season on loan at Old Trafford, but could only score four goals in 26 appearances in the Premier League.
It appears, though, that Mourinho is willing to give Falcao a lifeline as he has admitted that he wants to help the forward prove his worth in the top flight.
"It really hurts me that people in England believe that Falcao is the guy they saw at Manchester United," Mourinho told DirecTV Sports. "He's a player I know, one that I've followed since Atletico Madrid and if I can help Falcao arrive at his level I will do it."
Falcao is currently preparing for Colombia's Copa America campaign, which gets underway on June 14.
