Thomas Muller has laughed off the suggestion that Manchester United might have to pay even more for his services after the German striker netted a brace on Friday night against Hamburg.
Bayern Munich started off their title defence with a resounding 5-0 victory over the Red Shorts, as Muller helped himself to two goals in the second half.
The Germany international has been linked with a move to the Red Devils, but the 25-year-old laughed off suggestions that his brace will boost his price if Louis van Gaal were to make a bid.
"I don't know, you have to ask [Van Gaal]! I am the wrong man for this question!" Muller said, according to Goal.com.
"It is always nice to get goals and I am happy I could contribute. But I don't want me to be the focus. This was a super performance by the whole team."
United have reportedly made a £50m bid for the Bayern striker but the German club's chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stated that the player is 'not for sale'.
