Napoli have reportedly decided to enter the race to sign Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.
Over the weekend, it was suggested that Darmian was scheduled to undergo a medical at Juventus, but it appears that a switch to Turin is not a foregone conclusion.
United and Juventus are allegedly still negotiating a price for the full-back and according to Calciomercato, that has resulted in late interest from Napoli.
Carlo Ancelotti has just replaced Maurizio Sarri at the Naples-based club, and the Italian could look to get one over the team's biggest rivals for the Serie A title.
The report suggests that Juventus remain favourites to sign Darmian, but Napoli are ready to strike should the top-flight champions fail to complete a deal.
Darmian will leave Old Trafford with United having already completed the signing of Porto youngster Diogo Dalot on a long-term contract.
