Newcastle United have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard, according to reports.
The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Derby County working under Steve McClaren, who took charge at St James' Park earlier this summer.
According to ESPN, the former England manager is still a big fan of Lingard's, and is keen to add him to Newcastle's squad if United are willing to sell.
Lingard, who signed a contract extension with United in February, has also previously had loan spells with Leicester City, Birmingham City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
