Newcastle United have reportedly identified Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic as a priority transfer target ahead of next summer.
Providing that they can avoid relegation from the Premier League, the Magpies are expected to spend big ahead of 2022-23 after their recent takeover.
According to The Sun, Newcastle are monitoring any developments with regards to the future of Croatia international Brozovic.
Despite his status as a first-team player at San Siro, the 28-year-old has just eight months remaining on his contract.
Earlier this week, it was suggested that Inter are not guaranteed to agree fresh terms with the player's representatives before the end of the year.
Manchester United have been tipped to make an approach for Brozovic, who is currently free to hold discussions with foreign clubs in January. body check tags ::
