Peterborough United are reportedly close to securing the loan services of Nick Powell from Manchester United.
The 18-year-old has made six senior appearances for the Red Devils, having signed on at Old Trafford from Crewe Alexandra last summer.
However, Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be keen to send Powell out on a temporary basis in the hope that more match action will aid his development.
That revelation has alerted Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex, and a six-month deal is close to being completed, according to talkSPORT.
Powell opened his goalscoring account for United in a Premier League fixture with Wigan Athletic earlier this season.
