Nottingham Forest have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to reports.
The 23-year-old joined the Red Devils' academy in 2009 and has been on the club's books since, though he is yet to make a senior appearance for the Premier League giants.
With David de Gea and Sergio Romero ahead of him in the pecking order, Johnstone is rumoured to be looking for a new club, and the Nottingham Post believes that the Reds are one of 10 clubs interested in him.
Johnstone has played for Oldham Athletic, Scunthorpe United, Walsall, Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers and Preston North End on loan.
