Notts County will reportedly attempt to tie goalkeeper Fabian Spiess to a professional contract to starve off interest from Manchester United.
The 18-year-old, who has been watched by United this season, is yet to appear for County's senior side.
His performances at youth level have attracted interest, however, and the League One outfit do not want to lose the German goalkeeper for a minimal fee, according to The Sun.
Spiess was first indentified by County's Head of Youth Mick Leonard in Dubai.
