Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele will not be leaving the club in January, according to a report.
President Joan Laporta recently revealed to the media that an offer from an English club had been on the table to sign the 24-year-old this month.
Premier League quartet Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with a potential move to sign the Frenchman before the 11pm deadline, while Paris Saint-Germain were also believed to be closely monitoring his situation.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Dembele will now stay put at Barcelona, with the winger never close to an agreement with any club this month.
Dembele is now free to sign pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs as his current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in June.
It remains to be seen whether the 2018 World Cup winner will be reintegrated in Xavi's first-team squad, having previously suggested that the winger should be sold if he fails to sign a new deal. body check tags ::
