Queens Park Rangers midfielder Park Ji-Sung has announced his retirement from professional football.
Park has spent this campaign on loan at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, but the former South Korean international believes that his knee, which has troubled him in recent years, wouldn't hold up to another 12 months in the sport.
The 33-year-old is quoted by South Korean news agency Yonhap as saying: "I've been mulling retirement since February, and I've concluded that my knee won't hold up for another season.
"I have no regrets about my career. I do think about what might have been if I hadn't been injured, but I have no feelings of disappointment or sorrow as I leave the sport."
Park, who spent seven years at Manchester United, ends his career having scored 58 goals in 434 club appearances, while he also played 100 times for South Korea.
