Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would be the perfect signing for Manchester United.
Kane was reportedly on the verge of signing a new long-term deal at White Hart Lane, but it is understood that contract talks have now been put on hold by the capital outfit.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not expected to remain at Old Trafford beyond the end of next season, and Parlour would not be surprised if the 20-time English champions made Kane a leading transfer target.
"I'm sure Manchester United will be looking at him [Kane]," Parlour told talkSPORT "They will be thinking 'OK, Ibrahimovic is here at the moment but he's getting on a bit - we might need a new striker soon'."
Kane, 23, has scored 67 times in 134 appearances for Spurs, including 25 goals in 50 matches during the 2015-16 campaign.
