Real Madrid may end their interest in Paul Pogba if the Manchester United midfielder does not prove his qualities, according to a report.
Ever since revealing a desire to take on a new challenge away from Old Trafford, Pogba has been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu.
However, while United have maintained a stance of the World Cup winner not being for sale, it now appears that Real are having their own doubts over attempting to push through a deal.
According to El Desmarque, Los Blancos want Pogba to convince them to make a big-money bid for his signature, rather than relying on his global reputation.
The 26-year-old has failed to put together a consistent run of form under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while injuries have restricted the Frenchman to six appearances in all competitions this season.
Should Pogba improve during the remainder of the campaign, Real are said to be prepared to make a £90m bid, as well as offering Gareth Bale as part of the deal.
