French teenager Paul Pogba has revealed that he joined Juventus on the advice of the former France international Patrick Vieira.
The 19-year-old moved to the Italian champions in the summer after his contract with Manchester United ran out, and scored his first competitive goal for the Bianconeri against Napoli in a 2-0 home victory on Saturday.
"There were other teams interested in me over the summer, but I wanted to sign for Juventus," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"Many French champions have played here. I spoke to Vieira and he advised me to come to Juventus.
"I am really happy and proud of my first goal in the black and white stripes. In those moments you don't think about anything. You try to shoot and that's all."
Pogba's current contract with Juventus lasts until June 2016.
