Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a €50m (£43m) offer for Atalanta BC's Rasmus Hojlund.
The Denmark international is currently being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, with the Premier League giants said to have placed their first bid on Wednesday.
Erik ten Hag's side have allegedly offered a €50m (£42.8m) fixed fee plus €10m (£8.6m) in add-ons for the 20-year-old, who scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 34 appearances for Atalanta last term following his arrival from Sturm Graz.
PSG are also being linked with the centre-forward, and according to The Athletic, the French champions have now made a bid of €50m (£43m) for his services.
The report claims that PSG are willing to 'walk away' if the offer is not accepted, and it is unlikely that the bid will be successful.
Atalanta are thought to want €70m (£60m) plus bonuses for Hojlund, who has allegedly already come to an agreement with Man United over personal terms.
PSG are in the market for a new centre-forward this summer, with Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic also being strongly linked with a move to the capital giants.
Kylian Mbappe has allegedly been placed on the transfer list, meanwhile, with the club wanting to sell their star player this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next year.
PSG are not said to be willing to pay over €50m (£43m), though, and Hojlund is also believed to favour a move to Man United, meaning that a move to Paris at this stage is unlikely.
Atalanta are believed to be resigned to losing the forward this summer but are determined to hold out for the highest possible price for a player who has another four years left to run on his deal.
As well as enjoying a productive 2022-23 campaign at club level, Hojlund has found the back of the net on six occasions in his first six appearances for Denmark.
In March, the forward netted a hat-trick against Finland before hitting a brace against Kazakhstan three days later.
Hojlund was also on the scoresheet in his country's 1-1 draw with Slovenia last month, with all six of his goals coming during the national side's European Championship qualification campaign. body check tags ::
