Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to rival Manchester City for the signature of Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The 26-year-old is understood to have told his boyhood club that he would like to move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, with Pep Guardiola identifying the Yorkshireman as his primary midfield target to replace Fernandinho.
However, The Mirror reports that PSG have made a 'formal approach' to Leeds regarding the availability of Phillips, who has two years remaining on his contract.
The report adds that Leeds are keen to keep hold on to the England international, but PSG believe that an offer in the region of £55m could be enough the lure the midfielder away from Elland Road.
Furthermore, the report states that Phillips is aware that he would be guaranteed Champions League football and could see his wages triple to around £200,000 per week if he were to move to the French capital.
PSG also have their eyes on Porto midfielder Vitinha and they are allegedly set to beat Manchester United in the race to sign the 22-year-old for around €40m (£34.2m). body check tags ::
