Monaco coach Claudio Ranieri has ruled out a raid for Nani in the next month, insisting that his side's summer spending spree is probably over.
Nani has been persistently linked with the Ligue 1 side during this summer, with rumours of transfer talks over the winger between Monaco and Manchester United resurfacing last week.
Ranieri has insisted that there is no substance to talk over a bid from Monaco for the Portuguese international, with the coach preferring to focus on the players he has already acquired.
He told the Daily Mail: "No, just rumours. In this moment we have finished our market. But until the end something could happen. But no Nani at the moment.
"We are at the beginning, the basement. Then, slowly, slowly, I hope. I think in this moment we are ready to achieve from the third to the seventh position. We have to work hard.
"But of course, I am ambitious man and my chairman is ambitious. Maybe something could happen."
Colombian striker Radamel Falcao was on target in Monaco's latest pre-season success yesterday - a 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
