Brentford goalkeeper David Raya hints at a summer move amid reports of interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has revealed that he has turned down two separate contract offers from the Bees, with the Spaniard considering his future with Thomas Frank's side.

The 27-year-old arrived at Brentford from Blackburn Rovers in 2019, and he has made 146 appearances for the club in all competitions, including 47 outings in the Premier League.

Raya has been in impressive form for the Bees this season, keeping eight clean sheets in 24 matches, conceding only 31 times in the process.

There is currently widespread speculation surrounding his future, with the Spain international only having a contract with Frank's side until the summer of 2024.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both been credited with an interest in Raya, who has confirmed that he has turned down two contract offers from his current side.

The goalkeeper has also opened the door to a summer exit by admitting that he wants "to play in Europe" and 'fight for major titles' at this stage of his career.

"I turned down two contracts, one last year and one this January. They weren't the offers we were looking for. I can only say that," Raya told The Athletic.

"I have a contract here, so I'm willing to finish that, but you never know what's going to happen in the summer. Maybe the club wants to sell, maybe not. Maybe I want to stay. I want to focus on football and see what happens.

"I have big ambitions. I want to play in Europe and I want to fight to win a title. I want to fight to win a European title. I trust myself to be able to play in those types of games."

Man United could be in the market for at least one new goalkeeper this summer, with David de Gea and Tom Heaton both only having deals until the end of the season.

De Gea is expected to pen a new contract in the near future, but Heaton could leave on a free transfer, while Jack Butland is only on loan from Crystal Palace.

Dean Henderson is set to return to Old Trafford this summer following a loan spell at Nottingham Forest, but the England international could then depart on a permanent basis.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are also expected to move for a new goalkeeper this summer due to the struggles of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy.

Kepa is currently the team's number one, but Blues boss Graham Potter is believed to be unconvinced by the Spaniard, who has largely found it difficult to impress since his big-money arrival from Athletic Bilbao in August 2018. body check tags ::
