Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo has said that his club will "do everything possible" to keep hold of Antony this summer, with the Manchester United attacker impressing for the La Liga outfit.

Antony made the move to Real Betis on loan in January, and he has scored five times and registered four assists in 18 appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's side, who are currently fifth in the La Liga table.

Man United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Antony, in addition to Marcus Rashford, will return to Old Trafford this summer before final decisions are made on their futures.

"All the players on loan will return and then the club will decide what to do at the end of the season. When you put a player on loan the best thing is for them to perform," Amorim told reporters during his press conference on Friday.

"All these [loan] players have talent and they have to put that on the team. The talent of Rashford, the talent of Antony, they all have talent. We are really happy because if you put players on loan you want them to perform. That is good for us."

Real Betis are determined to keep hold of Antony

Real Betis do not have the option to purchase Antony permanently this summer, and there have been suggestions that the Seville outfit could attempt to agree another loan with Man United, but that is not expected to be an option for the Red Devils.

Pellegrini's side would boost their chances of signing Antony on a permanent basis should they manage to secure Champions League qualification for next season, as the deal could cost in the region of £30m.

Real Betis chief Fajardo has revealed that his club will do everything in their power to ensure that Antony continues next season.

"It is a source of satisfaction on a personal level [to have brought Antony to Real Betis], but it is the result of teamwork," he said.

"Although I am responsible for the sporting management, there are many people involved in this signing. It's still early, but we will try in different ways to do everything possible to continue enjoying Antony."

Antony recently dropped hint over future plans

Antony recently suggested that he has no desire to return to Man United this summer, with the forward much happier with life in Spain.

"The city has also played a lot, which is better [than Manchester] and good here," Antony told Spanish TV.

"I am very happy here with it. And the sun here helps a lot. You're every day at noon, awake, listening to yourself, I go to sleep smiling and that's the most important thing for me."

Antony made a big-money move to Old Trafford from Ajax in the summer of 2022, but he has struggled to show his best form for the 20-time English champions, only managing 12 goals and five assists in 96 appearances in all competitions. body check tags ::
