Real Madrid are reportedly ready to challenge Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Dutch starlet Memphis Depay.
The 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger put himself in the shop window during this summer's World Cup, scoring twice as a substitute for Louis van Gaal's side and forcing his way onto the three-man shortlist for best young player of the tournament.
Van Gaal is said to be keen on bringing Depay to Old Trafford, although, according to The Express, Real Madrid are also preparing to open talks over a possible move for the player.
PSV manager Phillip Cocu admitted last week that he was powerless to keep Depay in Holland.
