Real Madrid have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial on loan.
The Frenchman, who joined Man United in 2015, has been plagued by injuries during his time at Old Trafford, which has ultimately hampered his progress with the club.
Despite scoring nine goals in 29 competitive appearances last term, Martial was restricted to 17 starts due to a combination of injuries and selection decisions.
Although he made his first start of the new season in Saturday's 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest, Martial has been linked with a move away before Friday's transfer deadline.
With Man United looking to make further additions before the transfer window shuts, they are seemingly prepared to sanction Martial's departure in a bid to free up resources.
According to Defensa Central, via Fichajes, they have presented Real Madrid with the chance to sign Martial on a loan deal.
The report claims that the proposal would give Real Madrid the opportunity to sign Martial on a permanent transfer at the end of the season, but the purchase option would be non-compulsory.
Although Los Blancos signed Joselu on loan this summer, their forward options have been weakened by the departure of Karim Benzema to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.
Real Madrid continue to be linked with a move for France international Kylian Mbappe, but he looks set to stay with Paris Saint-Germain for at least another season.
Ancelotti has insisted in recent weeks that the club are not looking to make any more additions during the summer transfer window.
"I rule it out. 100%," Ancelotti told reporters in Thursday's press conference when asked if he expected the club to make any new signings before the transfer deadline.
However, it remains to be seen if the situation has changed after Vinicius Junior picked up a thigh injury in Friday's 1-0 win over Celta Vigo.
The Brazil international is expected to be out for around six weeks, leaving Ancelotti with Joselu and Rodrygo as his two main forward options.
