Real Madrid will reportedly use the money they have received from Manchester United for Casemiro to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham next summer.

On Friday evening, it was announced that Man United had reached an agreement with Los Blancos for the acquisition of the Brazilian, with the deal likely to be confirmed before the end of the weekend.

The 20-time English champions are expected to pay £60m plus a possible £10m in add-ons for the 30-year-old, who could make his debut against Southampton next weekend.

Real Madrid will reportedly resist the temptation to enter the market for a replacement this summer despite being linked with Newcastle United's Bruno Guimaraes.

Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to be happy to go with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga as his midfield options this season.

According to Marca, Real Madrid will look to use the money from the Casemiro deal to move for Bellingham, who is expected to be at the centre of a transfer scramble next summer.

The 19-year-old has been in strong form for Dortmund since his arrival from Birmingham City in 2020, contributing 11 goals and 19 assists in 94 appearances in all competitions.

The England international scored six goals and provided 14 assists in 44 appearances in all competitions last term, while he has started the 2022-23 campaign with one goal in four outings.

Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all believed to be keen to sign him, but Real Madrid could have now placed themselves at the head of the queue for his signature.

Bellingham was involved for England during their UEFA Nations League fixtures in June, and he is in a strong position to make the Three Lions squad for the 2022 World Cup.

A recent report claimed that Liverpool were becoming increasingly confident of winning the race to sign Bellingham, with a deal potentially going through in January.

However, Real Madrid are now allegedly well-placed to sign the Englishman, with the player potentially having the pick of a number of leading European clubs at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Paris Saint-Germain have also recently been credited with an interest in the youngster, who scored three times and registered eight assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances during the 2021-22 campaign, in addition to playing six times in the Champions League.

Casemiro posted a goodbye message to Real Madrid on his Twitter page and said that he is hopeful of being able to return "home" at some stage in the future. body check tags ::
