Real Madrid reportedly want goalkeeper Iker Casillas to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer so that they can eventually sign David de Gea from Manchester United.
Los Blancos have been linked with De Gea for some time, with reports suggesting that they are hopeful of signing the Spanish stopper by next month.
Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been mooted as a potential replacement for the 24-year-old should United decide to sell to Real.
According to The Independent, Real believe that a switch to White Hart Lane for Casillas will see Lloris join United, and that in turn will allow them to wrap up a deal for De Gea.
Barcelona winger Pedro believes that Casillas is still Spain's best goalkeeper instead of De Gea.
