Harry Redknapp believes that Tottenham Hotspur could accept a bid of £45m from Manchester United for striker Harry Kane this summer.
The 21-year-old has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford, although he has reiterated his desire to remain with Mauricio Pochettino's men.
However, Redknapp feels that a lucrative offer in the region of £45m may be enough to tempt Spurs chairman Daniel Levy into selling the England international.
Redknapp wrote on Kicca: "If they [Spurs] were to sell their best player – the one shining light from last season – then what message would it send to the fans?
"The club have to keep their best players if they're to progress.
"But if United were to put in a £45million bid I reckon Daniel [Levy] will look at it in the cold light of day, and if he thinks Kane isn't worth that amount of money then I can see him doing the deal."
Kane scored 31 goals in all competitions for Spurs last season.
