Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is reportedly ready to sign a new long-term contract with the Premier League club.
The Spaniard joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and initially struggled to cope with the physical side of English football.
However, the 24-year-old has developed into one of the best stoppers in European football over the last 12 months, with his performances this season drawing a host of praise.
Real Madrid are reportedly keen to sign the Spanish international, but according to The Sun, De Gea has told close friends that he wants to remain at Old Trafford.
It is currently unclear whether contract discussions are indeed underway.
