Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid for a price of around £131m.
The Red Devils have been perennially linked with the Wales international, who is now into his sixth campaign in the Spanish capital.
Bale, plagued by numerous injuries in recent seasons, joined Madrid in a then-record £86m deal in 2013 and has repaid that fee by helping the club to four Champions Leagues during his time at the Bernabeu.
However, the 29-year-old has never truly won over supporters and he has struggled to hold down a starting spot under Santiago Solari, with Vinicius Junior and Lucas Vazquez being preferred either side of Karim Benzema.
Spanish TV station Telemadrid reports that Los Blancos are finally ready to cash in on Bale, though president Florentino Perez is still after a £40m+ profit.
Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Bale, but the player's agent insists that he has never asked to leave Madrid.
