Inter Milan reportedly remain interested in Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and may make a formal approach in the next week.
The Armenia international appears to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, having fallen down the pecking order and failed to even make the matchday squad at times in recent weeks.
United boss Jose Mourinho has made clear that Mkhitaryan's performances have been lacking, with the goals and assists drying up since September.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 28-year-old is one of a number of players being closely monitored by Inter, who are keen to bring in at least one attacking option next month.
Also on the radar of the fallen Italian giants are Gerard Deulofeu and Javier Pastore, but Mkhitaryan - given a 45-minute runout against Burnley on Boxing Day - is their top choice if available at the right price.
