Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a January swoop for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj.
The 22-year-old, who represented Albania at Euro 2016 last summer, joined Napoli from Empoli in 2015 and made 43 appearances for his current club during the 2015-16 campaign.
Barcelona, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have previously been credited with an interest in the full-back, but according to II Mattino, Man United are currently at the head of the queue for the £25m-rated defender.
The deal, however, could be complicated by the fact that Hysaj only recently signed a new long-term contract in Naples, which will run until the summer of 2021.
Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian are reportedly among the Man United defenders that have uncertain futures at Old Trafford after an underwhelming start to the season for the Red Devils.
