Manchester United are reportedly preparing a move for AS Monaco right-back Fabinho.
Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are currently Jose Mourinho's right-back options at Old Trafford and it had been thought that the club's defensive transfer business had been completed when Eric Bailly arrived from Villarreal.
It is understood that Mourinho wants a specialist right-sided defender for the new campaign, however, and according to The Sun, Fabinho is a £22m target for the 20-time English champions.
The 22-year-old, who came through the youth system at Fluminense before joining Rio Ave, represented Real Madrid on loan during the 2012-13 season, but only made one La Liga appearance.
