Juan Mata is reportedly keen to resolve any differences that exist in his relationship with supposed incoming Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.
News of Mourinho's imminent arrival at Old Trafford following the sacking of Louis van Gaal last night has thrown Mata's future at the club into doubt.
The Spanish playmaker was part of the Chelsea squad that Mourinho inherited upon his return to Stamford Bridge in 2013.
However, having used the 28-year-old sparingly during the six-month period that followed, the Portuguese boss then sanctioned his £37.1m January switch to United.
It has resulted in speculation that Mata will be on the move again this summer, but according to the Daily Mail, he does not see the situation as irreparable.
The report adds that the former Valencia attacker will seek discussions with Mourinho once his appointment is confirmed to see if some common ground can be found.
Mata has scored 26 goals from his 104 appearances for United in all competitions.
