The Ligue 1 champions have constantly been linked to the Argentine ever since he made the move to Old Trafford from Real Madrid last summer.
The French club were thought to have been close to signing Di Maria last year, but Financial Fair Play restrictions prevented them from seeing the deal through.
Now, according to L'Equipe, PSG will try to persuade United into selling by including Dutch right-back Gregory van der Wiel as part of the transfer.
Di Maria has struggled to make a significant impact at the North-West club and rumours were rife midway through the season that the Argentine wanted to leave after his home suffered a break-in.
