River Plate are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero at the end of the season.
The Argentine international joined Man United on a free transfer last summer and started the 2015-16 season as the English club's number one due to the speculation surrounding David de Gea.
De Gea ultimately remained at Old Trafford and signed a new long-term contract, however, which has harmed Romero's own prospects of first-team football.
According to Goal.com, River Plate have a firm interest in the 28-year-old, who has 70 caps for the Argentine national team.
Romero penned a three-year contract with Man United in the summer after leaving Italian side Sampdoria.
