Manchester United have reportedly opted against renewing their interest in Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer.
The Spain international appeared to be high on United's wish-list last summer under manager David Moyes, who is said to have had a £30m bid rejected by the Catalan giants.
However, speculation is rife that the former Arsenal ace is keen on a Premier League return after enduring an indifferent season in Catalunya but, according to the Daily Mail, Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal will not be in the queue for the playmaker.
The Gunners are thought to be keen on swooping for their former captain, whose contract in Camp Nou expires in 2016.
