Manchester United have reportedly sent scouts to watch Montpellier HSC star Remy Cabella, who they see as the answer to their creative midfield problems.
United boss David Moyes has confirmed that he wants to sign at least two new players in the January transfer window, and the playmaker who he missed out on in the summer is top priority.
Frenchman Cabella, who can play on the wing or behind the striker, is widely regarded as one of the top talents in Ligue 1 and has drawn comparisons to Zinedine Zidane.
Arsenal and Inter Milan have previously been touted as admirers, but The Metro reports that the Red Devils are the frontrunners after Moyes instructed his scouts to draw up detailed reports on the 23-year-old.
The Premier League champions value Cabella, who has scored five times in eight appearances this season, at around £15m, but Montpellier president Louis Nicollin warned in the summer that it would take a bid of 'at least £100million' for them to consider selling.
