Roma general manager Mauro Baldissoni has insisted that Kevin Strootman will not be sold to Manchester United.
Widespread reports have claimed that Louis van Gaal is keen to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford, but a long-term knee injury halted United's move in the summer.
Despite the Red Devils' reported interest, Roma are adamant that Strootman will be part of the club's future after they were knocked out of the Champions League following a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last night.
"We haven't received any call from Manchester," Baldissoni told Sky Sports News. "We are not planning to sell Kevin.
"Kevin is young and he has a long contract. We definitely want to build our team around him."
Strootman has been a Roma player since 2013.
