Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has revealed that he has spoken to Manchester United manager David Moyes about extending the loan spell of midfielder Nick Powell.
Powell is due back at Old Trafford after netting eight times in 23 appearances for the Latics, and Rosler has admitted that he would be delighted to retain the services of the 19-year-old.
The former Brentford boss told reporters: "I've spoken to David and, so far, there's been no indication that anything has changed. On Monday and Tuesday, we'll have another talk and I'll know for certain.
"Nick is a player of real quality and I would be delighted if he is able to stay with us for the rest of the season."
Hull City are also reportedly interested in signing Powell on a temporary basis for the remainder of the season.
