Robin van Persie has insisted that Manchester United are the "perfect" club for him.
The Netherlands international striker joined the Red Devils from Arsenal in the summer and has scored five goals in five Premier League games so far this season.
"I've been here only for a few weeks now but I feel very welcome," Van Persie told The Times of India. "I have to thank everyone, it's a great club, everyone has been very helpful.
"United breathes football — in every aspect. It's a great club. That's why I made my decision to come here quite quickly. [The decision to join United] was based on a lot of things — Man Utd players, the stadium and the manager.
"I think everyone knows me by now. From that perspective I am quite principled. It's always difficult to find a perfect match but I think this club is just perfect for me."
United will host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
