Bayern Munich will reportedly allow Marcel Sabitzer to move to Manchester United on a permanent basis during this summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old joined the Red Devils on loan in January, and he has made a positive impression at Old Trafford, scoring once in nine appearances in all competitions.

Erik ten Hag's side are believed to be interested in signing the Austria international on a permanent basis in the upcoming market, with a recent report claiming that he could be available for a fee in the region of £16m.

There have been suggestions that new Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel would block a summer exit for Sabitzer, with the German viewing him as part of his plans moving forward.

However, according to Sport1, the Bundesliga champions will not stand in the midfielder's way if he wishes to join Man United, and the Red Devils make a suitable offer for his services.

The report claims that Bayern would want between £13.2m and £17.6m for Sabitzer, who has two years left to run on his contract at Allianz Arena.

The midfielder has featured on five occasions in the Premier League since his arrival, while he has also played in the Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup during his short period at Old Trafford.

Sabitzer recently said that no decision on his future would be made until the end of the campaign.

"Whatever happens in the summer, we will see. I had to make a quick decision in January. I was focused on this, it was clear it is just a loan until the summer. I take every game as it comes. I'm very happy to be here. I will give 100%," he told reporters at the time.

"I am very happy to be part of this team, this amazing club, and I feel very welcomed. I am very happy at the moment."

Sabitzer was not initially believed to be a January target for Man United, but he was signed by the English giants after Christian Eriksen picked up an ankle issue.

The Austrian made the move to Bayern from RB Leipzig in August 2021, and he has represented the Munich giants on 54 occasions, scoring twice and providing two assists.

The Red Devils continue to linked with a number of midfielders ahead of the summer market, with Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, West Ham United's Declan Rice and Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong all reported to be targets.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag's side are also expected to spend heavily on a new forward this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane thought to be the club's leading target. body check tags ::
