Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Lopes has refused to rule out the possibility of Lucas Moura joining Manchester United.
The deal has been on and off over the last week but Lopes has revealed that a deal is still possible.
"I don't rule out the possibility of more negotiations in the future, because we received Manchester United's bid with great courtesy and left open the possibility of more talks," Lopes told Radio Estadao ESPN.
"United came to us and their approach was serious. Other teams expressed an interest in Lucas, but only through the media in their countries."
Red Devils boss Alex Ferguson recently said that the club is actively looking for new signings.
